Sossna Demasu

Sossna Demasu holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Asmara (Eritrea). Before joining the National Capital Legal Services team, she worked as an attorney in various governmental and non-profit organizations, including the International Rescue Committee and the Embassy of Egypt. Prior to becoming part of the NCLS team, Sossna worked for over five years as a paralegal at the immigration law firm Leake Fesseha in Arlington.
Sossna Demasu has over 15 years of experience with immigration petitions. She specializes in several areas of immigration law, including asylum cases for applicants from various countries, immigration court proceedings, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, obtaining U.S. citizenship, and other immigration matters.
Sossna Demasu is fluent in English, Tigrinya, and Amharic.
