Alona Dorosh, Senior Immigration and Litigation Specialist
Alona Dorosh holds a degree of Master of Public Administration from the School of Urban and Public Affairs, University of Louisville, KY. She also has a LL.M. degree from the Free International University of Moldova, majoring in International and Institutional Law. Additionally, she received a Master of Arts degree with emphasis on modern and classical philology and completed a non-degree doctoral program within the same university.
Prior to joining National Capital Legal Services in 2013, Alona has acquired over 15 years of experience in the area of Human Rights Law as a co-founder and project manager at National Women’s Studies and Information Center “Partnership for Development” – a leading human rights nonprofit in Moldova. Alona coordinated numerous projects supported by World Bank, ILO, UNDP, Soros Foundation, USAID, OSCE, Eurasia Foundation, Balkan Trust for Democracy, Open Society Institute, etc.
At NCLS Ms. Dorosh focuses on employment-based immigration matters, including extraordinary ability and outstanding achievements cases (EB-1 and O-1); petitions for alien investors (EB-5 and E-2); National Interest Waiver cases (EB-2 NIW); H-1B petitions for aliens with specialty occupations; non-immigrant visas for artists and entertainers (P-3); and other.
She also specializes on civil and family litigation, including divorces, child custody and support matters, guardianship of minors and incapacitated adults, and bankruptcy cases.
Alona is a Virginia Notary Public and is fluent in French, Romanian, Russian and Ukrainian languages.
