The re-parole program has been launched for Ukrainians who arrived using a humanitarian password

From February 27, 2024, Ukrainians and their immediate relatives, including those who are not citizens of Ukraine, arrived
in the United States with a humanitarian password after February 11, 2022, they can apply for a new password period for up to two years.

In order to be eligible to apply for an extension, you must prove:

  • That you are physically present in the United States
  • That you have fulfilled all the initial conditions for U4U

An extension application can be submitted online or in paper form

How to apply for re-parole online?

  • Create an online USCIS account if you do not already have one
  • Fill out Form I-131
  • Select the “I am outside the United States, and I am applying for an Advance Parole Document,” option, even if you are inside the United States and applying for an extension
  • When asked about applying for an extension (re-password), select “Yes”
  • Attach confirmation of payment of the state fee

How to apply for re-parole in paper form?

    • Fill out and sign Form I-131

In paragraph 1.e. In Part 2, indicate that “I am outside of the United States, and I am applying for Advance Password Document,” even if you are located in the United States and applying for an extension

  • Handwrite “Ukraine RE-PAROLE” at the top of the form
  • Attach the necessary documentation, including confirmation of payment of the state fee

If you have low income or a difficult financial situation, you can apply by mail for a fee waiver, including Form I-912 with proof of your financial situation. You cannot request a fee waiver online

What documentation must be attached:

    • A copy of your passport with an English translation and a copy of all United States entry stamps
    • Form I-94
    • A copy of your work authorization EAD
    • Copy of driver’s license

If you are approved for an extension, you can apply for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD).
To do this, submit Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization to USCIS.
If you file Form I-765 before the extension is approved, your Form I-765 may be rejected and your filing fee may not be refunded.

Please remember that USCIS will review applications individually and evaluate whether each applicant has a humanitarian reason for re-parole.
